

The battle is being used to determine who will inherit Reiner Braun's Armored Titan. Falco asks why they, as candidates, are fighting on the front lines, and Gabi explains that they are being tested to see who will become the next Warrior. Colt reports that digging another trench will be impossible due to the artillery fire, but his superior is unwilling to listen to him.Īs the delirious Falco receives medical attention, one of his fellow soldiers, Gabi, reminds him of their mission to capture Fort Slava. Arriving in the safety of a nearby trench, Falco's comrades begin giving him first aid as Colt reports to his superior, Commander Magath. To finally win the war, Marley's forces intend to capture Fort Slava, which will allow them to invade the port where the Mid-East Allied Forces' fleet is currently residing, and destroy it.Ī young soldier named Falco is injured on the battlefield and has to be carried to safety by his brother Colt. The Marley fighting force consists mostly of Eldians under the command of Marleyan officers. It is the year 854, and Marley has been at war with the Mid-East Allied Forces for four years, and as a result, has been forced to put its mission to retrieve the Founding Titan from Paradis Island on hold. A peace treaty is signed, but the battle's outcome reminds Marley of the growing need to acquire the Founding Titan.

With the fort secure, Zeke uses his Beast Titan's pitching to sink the naval fleet stationed nearby, however, artillery fire from the ships heavily damages the Armored Titan. The Armored Titan joins the battle, destroying the remaining anti-Titan artillery with the Jaw. Zeke Jaeger uses his Titan power to transform Eldians into Pure Titans, creating a powerful airstrike.

The deployment of Galliard and Pieck clears the Mid-East trenches, which allows their airborne operation to begin. Warrior candidate Gabi Braun is approved to destroy it by Marleyan Commander Magath, which she succeeds in through the use of perfidy. The presence of an armored train prevents Marley from deploying its Titans. Warrior candidate Falco Grice is saved by his brother Colt, who returns him to the trenches nearby. Marley besieges Fort Slava, aiming to end their four-year conflict with the Mid-East Allied Forces sparked by their defeat in Shiganshina.
